The Cobequid Community Health Centre (CCHC) is a unique, leading edge ambulatory care facility providing a range of health and social services to Nova Scotians.

Parking

Cobequid Community Health Centre has a paid parking lot for patients and visitors. When you enter the parking lot you will be given a ticket. Take this ticket with you into the health centre. When you leave, there are two machines to pay for your parking inside the main lobby and the emergency room waiting area. The machines accept cash or credit card. 

The following rates apply:

  • $1 per hour  up to a maximum of $5 a day (per single entry)

Cafeteria and Vending Machines

Open Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bank Machines

There is a bank machine located in the main lobby.

Spiritual Spaces and Quiet Rooms

There is a place of prayer and meditation located on the upper level.  Requests for spiritual care can be made by patients, family members and/or any member of the inter-disciplinary health care team.

The emergency department has a separate entrance on the main level. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight. For after hours emergency service, please go to the Halifax Infirmary or Dartmouth General Hospital.

If you need help immediately, call 911.

To access the mental health mobile crisis team call 902-429-8167 or toll-free at 1-888-429-8167. This is a 24 hour, seven days a week phone service to help you or your loved one cope with mental health and addiction challenges in the moment.

Breast Screening (External Site)

To book a screening appointment, women over the age of 40 who have no breast problems and no breast implants may self-refer by calling:

A file will be made for you when you Call to book your screening mammogram appointment that includes your name, date of birth, mailing address and health card number. You do not need to have a doctor’s referral to make an appointment. However, please provide us with the name of your family doctor so that we can forward information regarding your mammogram results.

This service is available for all asymptomatic women over the age of 40 who have a current Canadian Health Card. Please have your health card ready when you call.

How do I cancel/change my appointment?

Please call 1-844-I-REBOOK (1-844-473-2665). You will be asked to select the location of your CT scan appointment.
