Dr. Louise Cloutier
Dr. Cloutier has maintained her lifelong passion for health and health care. She began her career as a trained Registered Nurse and is now a retired family physician with over 35 years of experience. Dr. Cloutier is proud to have taken care of four generations of families and delivered more than 2,500 babies. Dr. Cloutier is experienced in leadership and governance having served in a number of leadership positions at the Provincial and National levels including Chair of the Board of the Canadian Medical Association for four years. Dr. Cloutier is a Past President of the Nova Scotia College of Family Physicians and also of Doctors Nova Scotia. Interest in aging and the care of the frail and elderly led to her serving on the Board of Governors of Northwood (a senior’s organization) for 9 years. After many years of caring for individuals and families, Dr. Cloutier is now looking forward to help shape a health system that will empower all Nova Scotians achieve their best possible health.
