Paula Bond’s career spans nursing practice and administrative leadership roles in Canada and abroad. With extensive experience in acute care nursing, Paula went on to complete her master of nursing at Flinders University, Australia. As acting chief of nursing at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, she demonstrated her versatility and organizational abilities through an extensive restructuring project. In 2000, Paula returned to Canada, where she brought her leadership to Windsor Regional Hospital. From Ontario Paula moved to British Columbia and served as assistant deputy minister for Patient Safety, Clinical Innovation and Provincial Chief Nurse Executive in the British Columbia Ministry of Health. Her most recent role, which she started in 2010, was vice-president of Acute Care and Person-Centered Health at Capital Health. She has held appointments on various provincial and national Boards, received the Progress Woman of Excellence Award in 2013 and was active with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Organization.
