There are signs of COVID-19 community spread in the Amherst and Cumberland County area as a result of the clusters in Nova Scotia Health’s Northern Zone. Public Health is asking you to follow these measures to protect your community and yourself from further spread of the virus.

The Public Health mobile unit will be in Halifax this week to offer free PCR COVID-19 testing to all ages and drop-ins for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (ages 12+) to help support accessibility to COVID-19 health services in Nova Scotia.
Representatives from Cumberland County and Nova Scotia Health have been meeting since September to work together on recruitment and retention of staff and physicians to support programs and services at All Saints Hospital in Springhill and Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst.
Thanks to the leadership of Nova Scotia Health’s Innovation team, and funding from the QEII Foundation, Nova Scotia Health’s QEII Health Sciences Centre is now home to the first orthopedic surgical robot in Atlantic Canada.
