Nova Scotia Health to participate in national Wear Red Canada event to raise awareness about women’s heart health

On Saturday, Feb. 13 Canadians are invited to wear red in recognition of the national Wear Red Canada campaign aimed at raising awareness about women’s heart health.

To celebrate this national event and learn more about women’s heart health issues, the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance and the Canadian Women's Heart Health Centre are hosting a series of free, virtual events.

Experts around the country will gather to give presentations about women's heart health, including Nova Scotia Health's Acquired Brain Injury team and local celebrities’ four-time LPGA Tour winner, Lorie Kane and Canadian opera singer, Measha Bruegergossman.

Nova Scotia’s presentation, The Atlantic Provinces Present: COVID Impact on Mental Health and Cardiovascular Disease will take place at 2:30 AST
