Saint Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation (SMRHF) is pleased to announce the Sobey Foundation has made a transformative $1 million gift in support of cardiorespiratory care at the Hospital. In recognition of the gift, the cardio and respiratory services will be named Sobey Cardiorespiratory Services.

The Sydney Renal Clinic is hosting its 5th Transplant Expo on Friday, Sept. 14 at the Ukrainian Hall in Whitney Pier. It takes places from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The expo focuses on helping kidney transplant patients better manage their own care. It is open to transplant donors, recipients and their families, people awaiting transplants and their families and the public. A limited number of seats remain available until Monday, Sept. 10. Roaring engines, polished chrome and the smell of leather aren’t the only traditions rolled out during Digby’s annual Wharf Rat Rally. For the past decade, patients at Digby General Hospital have had their own, personal rally when a number of bikers roll into the hospital back parking lot.
