Meet Bob Borden, Manager of Construction & Engineering, QEII Redevelopment Project.

Why is the Redevelopment Project important to you?
I have worked in health care for many years in facilities maintaining infrastructure. This project will provide new facilities that will provide first-class health care to all Nova Scotians.

What’s the most exciting part of working on this project?
I like being involved with various stages and progressions of the project. I’m most looking forward to construction and completion.

What’s your background? What did you study in school?
I’m an HVAC engineer with significant experience in mechanical design, operations and construction in health care facilities. I have a Bachelor of Engineering specializing in Mechanical Engineering, from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.

Why do you choose to work in health care?
I like working in an industry that is forever changing.

What’s your favourite food?
Spaghetti and meatballs.

What do you like to do when you’re outside of the office?
I enjoy spending time with my family and building street rods.

Where’s your favourite place to travel?
To our family cottage in Lakelands, Nova Scotia.

What is your favourite book?
Street Rodder Magazine.
