Temporary closure at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital’s emergency department

Please be advised the emergency department at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital will be closed between Thursday, July 19 at 8 a.m. and Wednesday, July 25 at 8 a.m., due to a temporary lack of physician coverage.

Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 9-1-1, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone.

For non-urgent care, please call your family doctor or a walk-in clinic. For general health advice and information call 8-1-1 – this service is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
