Visitor Restrictions Lifted on Acute Care Unit at Northside General Hospital
Visitor restrictions are lifted on Unit 5E, an acute care medical unit at Northside General Hospital in North Sydney.
The restrictions were put in place in March to help limit the spread of respiratory illness among patients on the 15-bed unit.
Although the restrictions have been lifted, people are asked to use caution when they visit the unit or any hospitals, community health centres and continuing care facilities.
People should not visit if they or other people in their households are sick. Anyone who does visit should always thoroughly clean their hands before and after they visit a patient or a resident.
Nova Scotia Health Authority thanks the public for its cooperation while the visitor restrictions were in place.
