Nurse Recruitment
Nurses are an integral part of our health care team. Whether you are a new nursing graduate or have years of experience, Nova Scotia Health Authority has a variety of nursing opportunities across the province. These environments include a specialized hospital for Atlantic Canadians, community hospitals and community-based programs.
We offer many ways to support and develop your nursing career including:
- Orientation and ongoing education to develop your nursing skills and competencies
- Exposure to a variety of practices and experiences to help you achieve your career goals
- A clinical nurse educator and health service manager to support you and your coworkers
- Access to continuing education and professional development sessions
If you are graduating from a nursing program, re-entering the profession after an absence or relocating to Nova Scotia, we can help you.
Graduate Nurses
We offer a supporting environment to kick start your career in nursing. Through the New Graduate Transition program, you will receive a combination of classroom work and clinical practice to enhance your career.
You will also be provided with a mentor on your unit that will offer guidance and advice as you begin your nursing career.
Relocation Information
Employment for specific positions may be eligible for relocation assistance. If you qualify for relocation assistance, Nova Scotia Health Authority will reimburse part of the relocation costs. Eligible employees will be required to sign a Return of Service Contract.
More information can be provided during your interview with your hiring manager or HR advisor.
