The Depot clinic is a wide-ranging nursing service for adults 19 years and older diagnosed with a mental illness. To qualify, the client must be followed by a NSHA Psychiatrist and have been started on a depot neuroleptic (long-acting injection) treatment. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) will also discuss any of the client’s current mental health or medication concerns and monitor their symptoms and overall wellness. The client’s health status and concerns are then shared with the other treatment team members and the client’s support circle (i.e. family, friends, etc.) to ensure they receive coordinated care.
