Nova Scotia Health’s COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach will be offering drop-in clinics in Amherst, Truro and Springhill in the coming week to help support vaccine accessibility for residents and nearby community members.
Temporary changes to traffic flow are expected in the next few weeks at Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, as construction continues on new expansions at the site. The changes are necessary to connect underground services from the new construction to the existing hospital.
The Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre (CRHCC) are experiencing a sudden loss of registered nurses (RNs) due to a combination of factors, including issues made worse by the pandemic. To safely continue with care in the ED and ICU, and to avoid the potential disruption of these regional services, nurses must be urgently reassigned from other areas.
