Nova Scotia Health’s New Minas, Bridgewater and Yarmouth community vaccine clinics opening to drop-ins August 9 to 13

Nova Scotia Health’s community vaccine clinics in New Minas, Bridgewater and Yarmouth are offering drop-ins again next week to allow residents easier access to the COVID-19 vaccine.

These community clinics offer the Pfizer vaccine. Any eligible residents and nearby community members (ages 12+) can drop in to these clinics and receive their first or second dose - it must be 28 days or more since receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to be eligible for the second dose.

Drop-ins will be available at the following locations, on the following dates and times only:

  • New Minas Community Clinic
    New Minas Baptist Church
    9453 Commercial Street
    Monday to Friday, August 9 to 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Bridgewater Community Clinic
    NSCC Lunenburg Campus
    75 High Street, Bridgewater
    Monday to Friday, August 9 to 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Yarmouth Community Clinic
    NSCC Burridge Campus
    371 Pleasant Street
    Monday to Friday, August 9 to 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Community members will be asked to provide their health card number and ID at the vaccine clinic.

For those with mobility challenges, special needs, and/or have significant anxiety about needles, please indicate this when booking an appointment, or notify clinic team members on-site upon arrival for drop-ins. Having this information in advance helps the clinic team better prepare to offer support.

All eligible Nova Scotians are encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
