Outreach vaccine clinic at Greenwood Mall cancelled and new clinic scheduled for Coldbrook

The Nova Scotia Health outreach vaccine clinic scheduled for this Friday at the Greenwood Mall has been cancelled. The mobile vaccine clinic will instead be at Guy’s Frenchys in Coldbrook to help support vaccine availability for residents and nearby community members.
The clinic will be providing drop-ins for the Pfizer vaccine to anyone age 12+ for their first or second dose*. Here are the details:

Guy’s Frenchys
6931 Nova Scotia Trunk 1, Coldbrook
Friday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drop-in only
Outdoor clinic – weather dependent

*To be eligible for a second dose, it must be 28 days or more since the first dose, or 21 days or more if the first dose was Pfizer.

For those with mobility challenges, special needs, and/or have significant anxiety about needles, please indicate this when booking an appointment, or notify clinic team members on site. Having this information in advance helps the clinic team better prepare to offer support.

Transportation to and from vaccine appointments can be organized through Rural Rides for $5 return. Visit https://ruralrides.ca/ to find the nearest provider. Transportation must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Pfizer and Moderna are interchangeable – they are both mRNA vaccines. Regardless of which vaccine an adult has had for their first dose, they can take Pfizer as their second dose.

All eligible Nova Scotians are encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.
