How do I prepare for my appointment/visit?

It’s helpful to bring your technology to your appointment if it is portable (e.g. phone, tablet, or laptop).

What will happen at my appointment?

Your first appointment may be an intake appointment held by video call or by telephone, followed by 2-3 in-person visits. During your first appointment, we will gather information about the technology you use and clarify what goals you hope will be met using assistive technology. During your in-person appointment, the occupational therapist will assess your abilities and strengths related to your assistive technology goals. This will help us find the best way for you to access your technology and meet your goals.

Will there be any follow up after my appointment?

Together, we will come up with a plan for follow-up services needed. This may include trying additional assistive technology and doing training sessions.
