Financial support - Take-Home Cancer Drug Fund
The Take- Home Cancer Drug Fund is a new fund available through the Nova Scotia Health Authority's Cancer Care Program. The fund helps patients who are faced with very high costs for their take home cancer drugs. The fund is available as of February 14, 2018, but patients who took take-home cancer drugs between April 1, 2017 and February 13, 2018 may also qualify for reimbursement if their out-of-pocket costs were more than 4% of their net family income. Applications for retroactive payment must be submitted by September 30, 2018.

Patients should talk to their cancer care provider to find out more about the fund. Patients may also contact the Fund Coordinator at 1-866-599-2267, option 2.
