Kelsey Clarke advances care through technology

Kelsey Clarke grew up where care was second nature. Raised by two health professionals, she found her calling in the rhythm of a healthcare environment and through the power of service to others. “There wasn’t one specific moment that set me on this path,” Kelsey shares. “But I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a difference. Healthcare just felt like the right fit — somewhere I could help support a patient’s journey through the hospital and play a part in making their experience smoother, more informed and more positive.”

After graduating from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in applied human nutrition, Kelsey began her career in the dietary field.

Over time, she transitioned into administrative roles, eventually becoming one of two clinical training leads for the Central Zone with the Care Coordination Centre (C3). She now supports teams in implementing C3 technology into their daily workflows.

No two days are the same for Kelsey. Her work shifts depending on the unit’s needs. Her team works closely with managers, charge nurses and allied health professionals to create tailored profiles that offer a customized view of patient data using C3 technology. These profiles are designed to support each team member’s specific role.

“One of the most rewarding parts of my role is being on the units to deliver training and then returning later to see the real impact C3 has made,” Kelsey says. “Hearing firsthand how staff are now able to organize their day more efficiently, access information faster and notice details they might have overlooked before C3 is incredibly fulfilling. Knowing that the work we’re doing is directly improving workflows and supporting better patient care makes it all worthwhile.”

C3 is making a meaningful difference in patient care by improving how information is shared among healthcare professionals. With clearer communication and better access to data, care teams are empowered to make timely, informed decisions. This leads to patients being seen more quickly, receiving more coordinated care and often being discharged sooner.

The impact of C3 is clear: it's helping streamline processes and enhance the overall hospital experience for patients.

“I want patients to feel that their care is cohesive and personalized. By supporting staff with tools like C3, we help ensure that every interaction they have with their care team is backed by clear communication and shared understanding,” says Kelsey.

“Our team is committed to improving the way care teams communicate, ensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time. Using C3 technology, we help create a more seamless and collaborative environment that ultimately leads to better patient outcomes.”
