Bayview Memorial Health Centre is located in Advocate Harbour on Cumberland County's western shore. It is a single-story long term care facility. A primary health care clinic, staffed by a nurse practitioner, is also located on the property.

Visitors are welcome to visit the long term care residents as if they are in their own home. Check with the nursing staff if you have any questions.

Family and friends may bring food to a resident, but should confirm with nursing staff that it does not conflict with any food restrictions.

*Learn more about NSHA's Family Presence Policy, which welcomes up to two people named by the patient to be their family or primary support person/people.

The blood collection clinic at Bayview Memorial Health Centre will be closed Thursday, February 12. Patients with appointments will be contacted and rescheduled.

Appointments are required for blood collection service.

If you have a referral, you may book an appointment for blood collection at this location anytime online or by calling 1-833-637-1350 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

New Health Information System

Nova Scotia Health's new One Person One Record system will begin rolling out on May 9 at facilities in the Halifax Regional and West Hants municipalities, and some provincial Mental Health and Addictions Program services.

During this time of transition to a better patient-record system, our teams will keep working to get you the care you need.
