Cape Breton Cancer Centre

The Cape Breton Cancer Centre is one of two specialty cancer centres in Nova Scotia. It provides a full range of cancer care and support including radiation therapy. Some specialty services are only available at the QEII Cancer Centre. Cape Breton Cancer Centre staff work closely with cancer health providers at the QEII Cancer Centre and community cancer clinics across the province to support patients receiving cancer care as close to home as is safely possible.

Parking

A $3 parking fee will be charged when you exit the parking lot. Please make sure you have the correct change with you if you plan to park at the hospital.

Wi-Fi and Internet Access

There is free public Wi-Fi available. To gain access, first send an email to wifi@cbdha.nshealth.ca requesting connection.

You will receive an automated reply with the information required.

Food and Drink

Cafeteria, Basement floor (Level 1).
Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The hospital is connected to Health Park by a pedway. There is a Tim Horton’s, Subway and Pharmasave on the first floor of Health Park.

Bank Machines

There are two bank machines at the hospital. One is located near the main entrance and the other machine is outside of the cafeteria.

Spiritual Spaces and Quiet Rooms

The chapel is located near the main entrance of the hospital. There are designated family rooms on different units. Please check with nursing staff if you want to use one. More info

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital is the regional referral and trauma centre for Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Regional is part of a four-hospital complex that also includes Glace Bay, New Waterford Consolidated and Northside General Hospitals
