There is a phone service interruption at Strait Richmond Hospital in Cape Breton.  A temporary work around has been put in place so the site is able to receive incoming phone calls through the regular switchboard number 902-625-3100. Crews are working on restoration of inbound calling to all other site phone lines.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

An arteriovenous (AV) fistula gives access to your bloodstream for hemodialysis. It is made by joining an artery and a vein during surgery. This pamphlet explains when your fistula will be ready to use, what to expect after your surgery, how to care for your incision (cut), and how to exercise your fistula arm before and after surgery.
