Sepsis is when your body has a severe (very bad) response to an infection caused by bacteria or other germs. This pamphlet explains what causes sepsis, what the symptoms are, how it is diagnosed and treated, what post-sepsis syndrome is, and how you can lower your risk of sepsis.
