All Saint Springhill Hospital’s Collaborative Emergency Centre is temporarily closed.  A virtual urgent care service will be available onsite most days.  Please check the schedule here.

Emergency Department

The emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed: 

  • Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 a.m. until Monday, Sept. 16 at 8 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 a.m. until Thursday, Sept. 19 at 8 a.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 a.m. until Monday. Sept. 23 at 8 a.m.

Blood Collection Clinic

Please be advised that the blood collection clinic at the Halifax Infirmary is now closed.

For blood collection services, you can book an appointment at an alternate location online anytime or by calling 902-473-2074 or toll-free 1-833-942-2298 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

Patients must be 12 years and older.

The Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital urgent care centre in Middle Musquodoboit will be closed Thursday, Aug. 22 and will reopen on Friday, Aug. 23 at 8 a.m.

The emergency department at Eastern Memorial Hospital in Canso will be closed until Monday, Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. It will also be closed: 

  • Friday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. until Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m.

Virtual urgent care: Monday & Tuesday-11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday to Friday-11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Emergency Department

The emergency department at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour will be closed:

  • Saturday, Aug 31 at 8 p.m. and will reopen Sunday, Sept. 1 at 8 a.m.
  • Sunday, Sept 1 at 8 p.m. and will reopen Monday, Sept 2 at 8 a.m.

North Cumberland Health Care Centre's Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash is closed Thursday, Sept. 14 to Monday, Sept. 16. Virtual urgent care service will be available onsite Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Emergency Department

Queens General Hospital emergency department is open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from Friday, September 13 to Wednesday September 18 (closing at 1:30 p.m. each day).

Virtual Urgent Care is now at Queens General Hospital Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. & Sun. from 9a.m. to 1 p.m.
