Blood Collection Clinic
Please be advised that the blood collection clinic at the Halifax Infirmary is now closed.
For blood collection services, you can book an appointment at an alternate location online anytime or by calling 902-473-2074 or toll-free 1-833-942-2298 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).
Patients must be 12 years and older.

Emergency Department
North Cumberland Health Care Centre's Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) in Pugwash is temporarily closed and will reopen Thursday, June 26 at 8 a.m. Virtual urgent care will be available onsite daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. even when the CEC is closed.
Emergency Department
The emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed:
- Friday, June 20 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, June 21 at 8 a.m.
- Saturday, June 21 at 5 p.m. until Sunday, June 22 at 8 a.m.
- Thursday, June 26 at 5 p.m. until Saturday, June 28 at 8 a.m.
Urgent Treatment Centres
The Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre in Tatamagouche is closed Tuesday, June 24. Virtual urgent care appointments may be available onsite even when the urgent treatment centre is closed. For more information call 902-657-2385 during hours of operation.
Emergency Department
Digby General Hospital emergency department is closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 and is closed Wednesday and Thursday. It re-opens Friday, June 27 at 8 a.m.
Virtual Urgent Care is available at Digby daily, Mon.-Sun. from 8a.m.-7p.m., even with when emergency department is closed.

Roseway Hospital emergency department is closed at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 24 and is closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The entrance to the Emergency Department (ED) has changed to 1840 Bell Road. This new entrance includes a patient drop-off area, parking, including accessible parking options.

Virtual urgent care will be available in the emergency department on Thursday, June 26 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Virtual urgent care is provided by onsite Nova Scotia Health staff & online care providers, like emergency doctors, to treat patients with urgent, but non-life-threatening health matters, like coughs, colds, sprains, etc. Learn more about virtual urgent care.
Obesity Care Clinic (Eastern Zone)
Due to roof repair work, Eastern Zone's Obesity Care Clinic is temporarily relocating from 3 Sterling Rd, Glace Bay to Sydney River Health Centre, 1173 Kings Rd. Our team is contacting patients directly to arrange follow-up for their next in-person appt and can be reached at 902-842-3965. Services will resume at the Glace Bay location once roof work is completed.
