Culturally specific Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics enable Black and African Nova Scotians to ask questions and receive vaccinations in a place that feels familiar and respectful. Although these clinics are culturally specific, all are welcome to attend.
This weekend, the following Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics will be held:
Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC)
633 Pockwock Rd, Hammonds Plains
Saturday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Halifax North Memorial Public Library
2285 Gottingen St., Halifax
Saturday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Clinics will offer the following free services for Black and African Nova Scotians:
- COVID-19 & Influenza Vaccines (6 months +)
- Shingles & Pneumococcal Vaccines (65+)
- Adult RSV Vaccine (75+)
- COVID-19 & Influenza Tests
- Healthcare Navigation
Interpretation services will be available.

You can drop in or book appointments for COVID-19, Influenza and RSV vaccines and COVID-19 and influenza tests. Pneumococcal and Shingles vaccines are drop-in only.

Please note:
- Vaccines are offered to people aged 6 months and older who are eligible.
- Vaccines and testing are free and available to all who meet eligibility requirements.
- Please bring your health card if you have one.
- Clinics may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
- Public Health Mobile Unit clinics have masks available. If you have symptoms, you are required to put on a mask when entering the clinic and for your appointment/visit.
- Public Health Mobile Unit does not provide primary healthcare. There will not be a doctor, physician assistant or nurse practitioner at these clinics. You can learn more about Mobile Primary Care Clinics here.
