Cataract Clinic

The cataract clinic is an information session that will prepare you for your upcoming cataract surgery. It is a group session that also has private one-on-one consultation.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

You will receive in the mail a patient health form that you must complete. Please bring it and all medications you are taking including any over the counter medications to your clinic appointment. You may bring any family member or friend to your appointment.

What questions should I ask?

You may ask any questions you may have about your upcoming eye surgery.

What will happen at my appointment?

The cataract clinic offers group sessions with four to five people per session. You will receive general information about the surgery, view a video, and then there will be a group discussion. Following the group discussion the nurse will meet with each person one-on-one for a private discussion about their surgery.

What happens after my first visit?

You may or may not have your date for surgery. If you do not have your date for surgery you will receive notification when your surgery has been scheduled.

You will receive printed information about your upcoming eye surgery.

Accessing this Clinic, Program or Service

To get an appointment at the cataract clinic, you must be referred by your Opthalmologist.
