Need a Family Practice Registry Update, October 2025

As of Oct. 1, there are 77,526 Nova Scotians on the Need a Family Practice Registry.

The last published number was on Sept. 1, when there were 84,069 Nova Scotians on the registry.

By the end of September, the number of Nova Scotians on the registry dropped by 6,543. This number accounts for those newly added to the registry, those removed because they were attached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or those removed because they were found to no longer need a family doctor or nurse practitioner for a variety of reasons.

The percentage of the population on the registry is 7.3%. Nova Scotia Health will next update the registry in early November.
