Same-day appointments are available again at the Inverness Collaborative Family Practice

The Inverness Collaborative Family Practice is adding access to same-day appointments.

Same-day appointments are available for non-urgent, low-acuity health concerns. These appointments are only for patients of the Inverness Collaborative Family Practice. This is not a walk-in or urgent treatment clinic.

Patients of the collaborative practice can call 902-258-5704 to book a same-day appointment with a healthcare provider within the practice. Phone lines open at 8:30 a.m. Same-day appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m on open clinic days. 

The practice is located at 70 Maple Street, Inverness, in the health clinic connected to Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital.

August same-day appointment dates are:

• August 10
• August 13
• August 17
• August 21
• August 31

Additional appointment dates will be shared as they become available.

A collaborative family practice like the Inverness Collaborative Family Practice involves family doctors working together with other health professionals. These may include nurse practitioners, family practice nurses, LPNs, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. Each collaborative family practice team is unique and may include a variety of health professionals.

Types of concerns that may be addressed through same-day appointments include:

• Cough, cold, and flu symptoms
• Sore throat
• Earaches
• Fever
• Rashes
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Upper respiratory infections (URIs)
• Prescription refills or renewals (except controlled substances)
