Note: This morning (March 11) Hants Community Hospital will be conducting a Code Silver exercise in its emergency department. This is a planned drill to help our staff prepare for emergency scenarios—there is no real threat. Patients and visitors may see actors in neon yellow vests with toy weapons and hear overhead announcements. The exercise is strictly controlled, and all participants will be clearly identified. If you are present and have questions or feel anxious, please speak with a staff member. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our hospital safe.

Upcoming Public Health Mobile Unit immunization and testing clinics

The Public Health Mobile Unit (PHMU) supports access to immunization and testing in Nova Scotia. To help ensure local access to these important services, PHMU will be holding clinics in communities across the province over the next few days. All upcoming clinics can be found online at www.nshealth.ca/PHMU.

Public Health Mobile Unit clinics offer COVID-19 and influenza vaccines and tests for those who are eligible. Some clinics may also offer pneumococcal vaccines. Appointments may be booked-only, drop-in only, or a combination of both. Check the clinic listings for more details.
