After Hours Clinics provide non-emergency care by forming a group of local primary care providers (family doctor or nurse practitioner) who rotate to provide care to each other’s patients after hours, on evenings or weekends. These clinics are only available to patients who belong to the primary care providers who are participating. Patients must book appointments by calling the clinic. No walk-in patients are accepted.
What to bring
When attending the After Hours Clinic please remember your health card, a list of medications along with dosages and any allergies you may have.
Fees
If you do not have a valid health card or are not a resident of Canada there is a cost associated with your visit. Please check with the clinic when you register.
You may be asked to pay a facility fee. This rate does NOT include the doctor’s fees. You could be billed directly by the doctor and doctor’s fees may vary by location. Learn more about Nova Scotia Health fees and bill payments.
