Virtual urgent care is available in the emergency department at Glace Bay Hospital on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Virtual urgent care is provided by onsite Nova Scotia Health staff and online care providers, like doctors, to treat patients with urgent, but non-life-threatening health matters, like

Some patient telephone lines at Valley Regional Hospital are not working. Families may wish to provide a cell/mobile phone for their patient in the hospital. We are working on an alternative for family members. More information will be shared when available.
