Program Details

Cape Breton Heart Function Clinic

The Cape Breton Heart Function Clinic offers education, optimization of heart failure medication, and therapies for people who have suffered heart failure. Patients will see a nurse and a specialist which may include a registered dietitian.

The visit includes education, drug therapies and more.

A referral from the family doctor or cardiologist is required.

Halifax Infirmary Heart Function Clinic

The Heart Function Clinic is run by Nurse Practitioners in collaboration with Cardiologists. The purpose of the clinic is to treat patients with heart failure. The focus is on management and treatment by providing education and support to improve quality of life and reduce hospital admissions.
