The Digby General Hospital is located on Warwick St. It provides medical care to the residents of the surrounding areas.

Visitors are welcome between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Please check with nursing staff, if you want to visit outside of the standard visiting hours.
You MUST pay for parking at kiosk-machine inside the building, before returning to your car:
1. Pay with cash, credit or debit at kiosk-machine inside the building
2. Take ticket, and go to your car
3. At exit gate scan ticket —parking gate will open
NOTE: Parking ticket stub is valid for only 20 minutes. This is time to get to your car and exit parking lot.

Space in our private and semi-private rooms is limited. The sooner we have your insurance information the more likely we are to be able to accommodate your request.
When the booking clerk calls with your hospital admission date, let them know you are interested in a private or semi-private room.
When you are admitted, be sure to have your private insurance card with you and let the admitting clerk know you have requested a private or semi-private room.TV & Phone in your Room

TV Service
Bedside TV rental is available. The cost is $11 plus taxes per day. If you have requested a private or semi private room, the cost of the TV services will be covered. There is information provided in your room to set up your TV.
Phone Service
Bedside phone service is available. There is a connection fee for this service and you will also be charged a daily rate and will be billed for any long distance calls. To set up your phone service, dial 899 from your bedside phone.
During your stay at the hospital, you will receive breakfast, lunch and supper daily. If you follow a special diet or have food-related allergies or sensitivities, let us know when you arrive.

Monday to Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: Closed
There is a Chapel and a palliative care family room on the second level.
A bank machine and a change machine are located in the lobby of the hospital.

Appointments are required for blood collection service.
If you have a referral, you may book an appointment for blood collection at this location anytime online or by calling toll-free 1-833-998-2722 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).
Water sample must be collected the same morning as drop-off and not the evening before using the water testing bottles and requisition provided by Nova Scotia Health. E.Coli & Coliform testing is a white top 100 ML bottle / Chemical & Mineral testing is a black top 200 ML bottle
Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Closed for lunch from 1:00 p.m.to 1:30 p.m.).
The emergency department is located on the main level.
