Emergency Department
The Hants Community Hospital emergency department in Windsor will be closed at 4 p.m. Friday, May 29 and will reopen at 1 a.m. Saturday, May 30.
Virtual urgent care is unavailable during this closure.
Emergency Department
The emergency department at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour will be closed at 6 p.m. Friday, May 29 and will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 30.
Also, the department will be closed at 7 a.m. Sunday, May 31 and will reopen at 8 p.m.
Virtual urgent care is available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. May 31.

Construction on the new Yarmouth Regional Hospital Emergency Department means some parking in the front, north parking lot (near the School of Nursing) will be temporarily closed. Please plan for extra time when coming for an appointment. Learn more here.

A new weapons detection safety system will be used at the entrance to Valley Regional Hospital (VRH) emergency department starting Saturday, May 9. Have belongings ready to be checked when coming to emergency dept. Prohibited items and possible weapons are not allowed.
Blood Collection
Some services will be operating at a reduced capacity over the coming weeks as teams adapt to a new health information system. Appointment bookings in the Central Zone may be impacted during the months of May and June.

Nova Scotia Health is advising motorists that the northbound lanes on Robie Street, between Veterans Memorial Lane and Bell Road, will be closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, until 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, to support underground electrical work connecting power to the new Acute Care Tower as part of the QEII Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project.
