The Dickson building is located at the Victoria General site of the QEII. It houses the cancer care program, the James and Edna Claydon radiation treatment centre and a number of outpatient clinics.

Parking

The parking lot entrances are located on University Ave. and South Park St. When you exit the parking lot, you can pay the parking fee by cash or credit card. The following fees apply: 

  • $3 per hour for the first two hours
  • $2.50 for the third hour
  • $2 for each additional hour
  • There is a maximum daily rate for $14.50

Discounted rates may also be available for outpatients with long-term treatment schedules. See your clinic's registration area for more information.                

Free Shuttle Service

Patients and families who are mobile and need transportation between the Victoria General (VG) and Halifax Infirmary (HI) sites are welcome to take the QEII shuttle.

WiFi & Internet Access

Patients and visitors have free access to wireless internet.

Follow signs to the Victoria Building (attached directly, wheelchair accessible), where you will find the Scotia Room Restaurant and Starbucks on the Main floor.

The Northern Shared Chronic Pain Service offers 9 week interdisciplinary Persistent Pain Groups at each of the four clinics -  Antigonish, New Glasgow, Amherst and Truro.  Sessions are held in the fall, winter and spring.  Referral by a physician or primary care provider is required.  For more information about the Persistent Pain Group sessions or the referral process, please contact the program coordinator at 1-800-270-4776 x3312.

Enter through the main entrance of the Dickson Building, then take the elevator to the 5th floor. Turn right off the elevator and we are the desk right in front of you.
