To book a screening appointment, women over the age of 40 who have no breast problems and no breast implants may self-refer by calling:

A file will be made for you when you Call to book your screening mammogram appointment that includes your name, date of birth, mailing address and health card number. You do not need to have a doctor’s referral to make an appointment. However, please provide us with the name of your family doctor so that we can forward information regarding your mammogram results.

This service is available for all asymptomatic women over the age of 40 who have a current Canadian Health Card. Please have your health card ready when you call.

Patients must be referred by a physician or dentist to be seen in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic.

Cathy’s Place, a resource room for cancer patients and families, is located at St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish. It has a computer with internet access and there are wigs, hats and turbans available for patients free of charge. It is staffed by volunteers.
