Emergency Department

The All Saints Springhill Hospital Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) is temporarily closed. 

Virtual urgent care will be available onsite daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. even when the CEC is closed.

Eastern Memorial Hospital emergency department will be closed until Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 12 p.m. 

Virtual urgent care available Mon. & Tues., 8 am-6:45 pm; Wed., 8 am-2:30 pm; Thurs.-Sun., 8 am-6:45 pm. 

Urgent treatment clinic: Sat., Jan. 10 & Sun. Jan. 11, 9 am-5 pm. Call 902-366-3268 for same-day appt.

The Digby General Hospital emergency department will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 7 and re-open on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m.

Virtual urgent care is available every day, 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm, even when the emergency department is temporarily closed.

Fishermen's Memorial Hospital emergency department is OPEN from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, Jan 8, and Friday, Jan. 9 (closed at 12 noon and re-opens at 7:30 a.m. the following day). 

Virtual urgent care is available every day, 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm, even when the emergency department is temporarily closed.

North Cumberland Health Care Centre's Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash is closed from Wednesday, Jan. 7 to Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026. 

Virtual urgent care will be available onsite daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Roseway Hospital emergency department is closed at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 and re-opens Friday, Jan. 9 at 8 a.m.  

Virtual urgent care is available every day, 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm, even when the emergency department is temporarily closed.

Virtual urgent care is available in the emergency department at Glace Bay Hospital on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Virtual urgent care is provided by onsite Nova Scotia Health staff and online care providers, like doctors, to treat patients with urgent, but non-life-threatening health matters, like
